On behalf of the FBMT-2013 Organizing Committee, we are pleased to announce the IV International Conference "Fundamental Bases of Mechanochemical Technologies" (FBMT-2013), which will be held in Novosibirsk, Russia, on June 25-28, 2013. FBMT-2013 is the forth Conference continuing the Conference series on the Fundamental Bases of Mechanochemical Technologies held in 2001, 2004 and 2009 in Novosibirsk.

SCOPE

The IV International Conference Fundamental Bases of Mechanochemical Technologies will be held in the Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences situated in Academgorodok of Novosibirsk. This conference is devoted to all aspects of theory, methods and applications of mechanochemistry. The scientific program will consist of invited lectures, oral and poster presentations.

The Conference will provide a forum for chemists, physicists, materials scientists, engineers and industry representatives to discuss the most recent achievements and current challenges of the fascinating field of mechanochemistry. The Conference will offer a lot of opportunities for exchanging ideas and finding new research partners.

The registration fee is $280 US for the participants. Accompanying persons as well as students and post-graduate students pay 50% of the full registration fee. The registration fee includes the Book of Abstracts, auditorium rent, local transportation, Welcome Reception and coffee breaks.

The official languages of the Conference are English and Russian.

ACCOMODATION

All Conference events are planned to be organized at the House of Scientists, which features modern infrastructure perfectly suited for scientific meetings. Accommodation for the Conference participants will be arranged at "Zolotaya Dolina" Hotel ("Golden Valley") in Academgorodok. The House of Scientists is 10 min walk from “Zolotoya Dolina” Hotel.

VISA

If you need a visa to enter the Russian Federation, we would like to ask you to send us your registration form and your abstract as soon as possible. After you paper is accepted for presentation, we will need about 3 weeks to prepare an official invitation letter, with which you will be able to apply for a visa. The processing of visa applications will also take some time varying from country to country. In this regard, we would like to accelerate the process of preparing an invitation letter for you so that you could apply for your visa well in advance.

In order to make visa arrangements in time, please provide the following information:

Upon receipt of this information, we will send you an official invitation letter that should be presented in a Consulate of Russian Federation in your country as a basis for obtaining a visa.

Novosibirsk city, the site of the conference, is the biggest city in the Asian part of Russia. Novosibirsk is conveniently connected by direct flights to Frankfurt, Beijing, Prague, Munich, Hong Kong, Dusseldorf, Istanbul, Minsk, Dubai and other big cities.

All abstracts will be published before the Conference. One-page abstracts should be submitted by e-mail in a Microsoft Word format to conf2013@solid.nsc.ru using the template

SOCIAL PROGRAM  AND EXCURSIONS

The Conference participants and guests will be able to enjoy a city tour of Novosibirsk and a tour of Academgorodok.
Excursions to the Laboratories of the Institute of Solid State Chemistry and Mechanochemistry SB RAS and Siberian Synchrotron Radiation Center will be organized.

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

Papers that attracted keen interest of the audience of the Conference will be published in a Special Issue of "Chemistry for Sustainable Development".

Authors of these papers will be invited by the Organizing Committee to submit their manuscripts and informed on the deadlines and authors' guidelines of the Journal during the Conference. The number of papers to be published in the Special Issue is 25.
